Benitez signs him as alonsos replacement for more than 20 millions. Fair enough he gets injured without having played a game so cant make his debut till the season is halfway, but then when he finally is healthy, he doesnt start him, unless is against the shittiest teams, or when the other options arent available.

Is he like another Robbie Keane who'll be shipped back in a few months?

Well what I find strange is that he was such a big player for Roma with who the fans adored him and were crying when he left yet as you say Rafa just does not give him much of a chance despite paying a kings ransome for his signiture.

Like is there a chance that he was not actually a Rafa signing? and infact is a signing from one of the owners or directors? I don't really know the Liverpool management structure but it could explain why he does not get played, remember Shevchenko at Chelsea, Jose like never played him unless he was forced to all becuase he did not make the decision in bringing him to the club.

Robbie is a little different as he was given regular football for a period at liverpool but faild to impress in that small period so Rafa just said enough is enough. Like I do not agree with that as he was clearly still trying to settle into new saroundings with a new team playing a different system to what he had been used to and he clearly has the talent and skill to add something to that Liverpool attack given time but Rafa does seem to be that kind of manager.

Remember Mark González? He was brought in in Rafa's first season by memery and got injured for a lengthy time before being able to play a game for the club. Once he recovered from his injury Rafa rarely looked at him as a first team selection choice and so he was quitly sold off to Betis. And now you look at him at CSKA Moscow and he is having a ripper of a start to his Russian adventure in Europe at the moment.
