when did this happen? he has actually played quite well against two difficult teams, like milan and liverpool. Well quite well its perhaps going too far, he was good vs Ac and decent against liverpool, though his first half was weak, but then again, so was for the entire team.
so, pros and cons of having park in the center of the... eh field? does it make the team more negative? do we lose invention in attack? what do we gain? will this be his new role, now that anderson is done for the season, or will the return of giggs mean park will be back to his left back defensive wing usual role?

Well I noticed against Milan he was given a sort of deep lying forward role where he used to roam around alot to provide support for Rooney and draw defenders away from Rooney. It did seem to work quite well too against a slow Milan side where Park could use his stamina to good use. He has also gotton himself on the score card a couple of times now too which seems to have risen his confidence at taking shots when the oportunity arises itself though I still can not see him scoring any long range belters anytime soon.
You know what the role he is playing reminds me alot of the role Scholes had when Ruud was at the club and Fergie would play Ruud as out and out poacher with Scholes acting as a deep forward to link everything up.

Rooney made Park look better in the position than he is, for 2 reasons..
1. Rooney's creativity and ability to find Park wherever he went
2. The star factor..Rooney pulls defenders, leaving Park with loads more room to run in...
When park played up front with berba, it quite simply failed...and i suspect it'll be the same regardless who else he plays with up front...

Well it would work if United had another major draw card up front like Rooney as it is just that sort of player that will draw more than one defender away. This is what has made Bayern more dangerous as United witnessed. They have two wingers in Ribery and Robben that often draw more than one player towards them that leaves alot more room for others in the centre.
