Has anyways been keeping up with all the action of the player transfers in and out of the EPL this month?

Like it seemed there was a mad rush right before the closure of the window to get transfers through. I read today Mido is heading to West Ham United after the club chose to bring the well travelled Egyption star to East London ahead of the far more expensive option of Robbie Keane. Mido will be playing for the nominal wage packet of 1,000 pounds a week. While Keane wanted 105,000 a week.

And speaking of Robbie Keane it seems he has completed a loan move to his childhood club Celtic and will join the SPL powerhouse imidiatly after finding it hard to break into the first team at Spurs following the arrival of Peter Crouch. Good move for Celtic i feel but Spurs have gotton rid of the best striker they have and brought in a new guy who to me is not of the same standard to Keane. Spurs are always so funny with their strikers.

Manchester City have opened up their wallet again and have signed englishmen Adam Johnson from Boro in the Championship. The young winger is set to go right into the starting lineup against Hull in City's next match. It is strange to see City buying english from a lower league but it lad is held in high regard in England I have heard.

Sunderland have signed Spurs misfit and Scottish international Alan Hutton on loan untill the end of the current season. The right-back has failed to secure regular football under manager Harry Redknapp, and has consequently agreed a move to the Stadium of Light.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson was overjoyed to seal a double loan signings of Roma's 20-year-old striker Stefano Okaka and Nicky Shorey from Aston Villa, who will both don the white strip of the Cottagers until the end of the current season.

And lastly, West Ham United have further strengthened their striker stocks by digging in deep and signing Blackburn star Benni McCarthy. Benni has had some success in England since joining Blackburn from Porto but the South African international has been struck down by constant injury problems while here. It is a bit of a risky move if you ask me but one that might pay 10 fold if he can get off the mark and stay injury free. As he is a quality striker when fit, much like Saha in that fasion.
